On May 1, 2005, China People's Electric Appliances Group spent a large amount
of money to purchase over 200000 acres of lunar land from a seller at the US
Embassy on the Moon.
Afterwards, Zheng Yuanbao, then Chairman of the Electric Appliance Group,
commented on this matter as follows: "Although we know it is highly likely to be a
scam, I believe that one cannot live without dreams, and a company cannot live
without dreams. We are using our own actions to leave the next generation with a
truly beautiful dream.".
